scriptural joyful mysteries

Since Pope John Paul II gave us the scriptural Luminous Mysteries, in has been quite clear that these mysteries shine light on the Joyful, Sorrowful, and Glorious Mysteries.

  • They illuminate the significance of the joys of Jesus' childhood.
  • They conclude with the institution of the Eucharist which is the sacramental act in which the Sorrowful Mysteries commemorate.
  • And are a preview of the glorious events to come that you meditate upon in the Glorious Mysteries.

These Scriptural Mysteries are a gift to the Church and should be embraced and used to internalize the life of Jesus in your life and to help you attain serenity in your daily dealings.

Daily Meditation

Let us pray

Almighty and everlasting God, look upon the Heart of Thy well-beloved Son and upon the acts of praise and satisfaction which He renders unto Thee in the name of sinners; and do Thou, in Thy great goodness, grant pardon to them who seek Thy mercy, in the name of the same Thy Son, Jesus Christ, Who liveth and reigneth with Thee, world without end. Amen.
