Offer Your Rosary For Priests

"Thou art a priest for ever according to the order of Melchisedech."
-Psalm 109:4

Promote the rosary

Please continue to pray the Rosary for priests even though the Year for Priests has drawn to a close. His Holiness Benedict XVI knew how dire priests of today are in need of your prayers.

For this reason he asked that we all pray more for priests.

...And the most effective prayer to pray for our priests is of course the Rosary, the most powerful prayer second only to holy Mass.

"The power of the rosary is beyond description." – Archbishop Fulton Sheen

If you are still wondering what is the meaning of the rosary beads click here for instructions on how to pray the rosary.

Yes, the Year for Priests has concluded but nevertheless, continue to visit the Year for Priests Support Community and share your story about priests that have affected your life.

You can keep track of the number of Rosaries you are praying for a particular priest by printing our convenient pocket mod type Personal Rosary Tracker.

This is a surefire way of keeping track of your Rosaries and you can download it for free by visiting the Adobe.com website.

At our Rosary for Priests - Commitment Center you can print or email a letter expressing your appreciation to your priest for his devotion to God and for the spiritual support he has offered your family. He will be happy to know that you are praying for him.

Pray for his intercession and special protection of all the priests in the world and especially your own parish priest.

When thinking of those priests who are important in your life, remember also those priests who are no longer living. They may especially be in need your prayers.

Also consider adopting a priest or sharing a priest or seminarian who may be in need of extra prayers because of sickness or whatever his need may be and put him up for "adoption" in the Year for Priests Support Community.

Daily Meditation

Let us pray

Almighty and everlasting God, look upon the Heart of Thy well-beloved Son and upon the acts of praise and satisfaction which He renders unto Thee in the name of sinners; and do Thou, in Thy great goodness, grant pardon to them who seek Thy mercy, in the name of the same Thy Son, Jesus Christ, Who liveth and reigneth with Thee, world without end. Amen.
-From the Litany of the Sacred Heart of Jesus
