Our Lady Of Akita Japan And Fatima

"Pray very much the prayers of the Rosary. I alone am able still to save you from the calamities which approach. Those who place their confidence in me will be saved."
-Words of Our Lady to Sr. Agnes

Our Lady of Akita Japan

How To Pray The Rosary

Our Lady of Akita Japan is the only Church approved Marian apparition since Fatima. A statue of Our Blessed Mother began shedding tears, perspiring, bleeding and speaking to Sr. Agnes Sasagawa a nun of the Eucharistic Handmaids of the Sacred Heart in Akita, Japan.

In light of the recent Japan disaster, a closer look at Our Lady Akita messages and how they pertain to this time is in order.

Our Lady Akita prophecy and message is a continuation of the Fatima message. Bishop John Shojiro Ito of Niigata, Japan proclaimed that, "The message of Akita is the message of Fatima." At Akita, Mary gave a specific warning and asked for prayers and acts of sacrifice and penance.

Mary warned Sister Lucy of Fatima that if her requests were not heeded that the annihilation of many nations would result. At Akita around 50 years later, Mary urged Catholics to pray the Rosary and warned of a specific worldwide chastisement consistent with Scriptural prophecies.

According to the bishop of that diocese, Bishop Shojiro Ito, "Our Lady stressed the importance of praying the Rosary, and above all of accepting from God whatever He may send in the course of each day...whatever suffering...and to offer it up in reparation for so many sins committed throughout the world at this time." In detail, Mary's message was to...

  • Repair for the indifference and sins of mankind. Make these acts of reparation before the Blessed Sacrament.
  • Make reparation by offering your sufferings for poor sinners.
  • Sr. Agnes' religious community was asked to accept poverty and offer it up to God for the conversion of sinners.
  • Prayer, penance, and sacrifice - "Prayer, penance, and courageous sacrifices can appease the anger of the Father." -words of Our Lady to Sr. Agnes
  • Pray the Rosary every day offering it especially for the Pope, the bishops and priests - "The only arms which will remain for you will be the Rosary and the Sign left by my Son.
  • Each day, recite the prayers of the Rosary. With the Rosary, pray for the Pope, the bishops and the priests." - words of Our Lady to Sr. Agnes
  • Pray the Fatima Prayer after each decade of the Rosary
  • Consecrate yourself to the Sacred Heart of Jesus by daily praying the Akita prayer...

Our Lady of Akita Japan Prayer

Most Sacred Heart of Jesus, truly present in the Holy Eucharist, I consecrate my body and soul to be entirely one with Thy Heart, being sacrificed at every instant on all the altars of the world and giving praise to the Father pleading for the coming of his Kingdom. Please receive this humble offering of myself. Use me as Thou wilt for the glory of the Father and the salvation of souls. Most Holy Mother of God, never let me be separated from Thine Divine Son. Please defend and protect me as Thy special child. Amen

Statue Weeps 101 Times!

As was the case with the children at Fatima, in Our Lady of Akita Japan Sr. Agnes' guardian angel appeared to her and taught her how to pray. The significance of the number of times the statue wept were revealed to Sr. Agnes by her angel. After Mary delivered three messages to Sr. Agnes through the statue, the statue wept 101 times, a number rich in significance...

The first number 1 stands for Eve. Sin entered the world through Eve's sin. The final number 1 signifies Mary for as sin entered the world through a woman, Eve, our salvation entered the world through a woman, Mary. This concept is an illustration of the prophesy of Genesis 3:15. "I will put enmities between thee and the woman, and thy seed and her seed: she shall crush thy head, and thou shalt lie in wait for her heel." God is speaking here to Satan. Mary crushed the head of Satan through her seed, Jesus Christ. But this battle rages on. It is not over. Satan and Mary continue to battle until the decisive battle that is alluded to in the 12th chapter of the book of the Apocalypse. Then will the heard of the serpent be crushed.

The zero between the two number 1's in the number 101 represents God who like a circle is eternal. The eternal God comes between these two women, Eve and the Blessed Virgin Mary, the new Eve.

Some of the miraculous events that took place at Akita are the stigmata Sr. Agnes received, the complete restoration of her hearing as she was completely deaf.

These events of Our Lady of Akita Japan 1973, by June of 1988 Joseph Cardinal Ratzinger, our now beloved Pope Benedict XVI, who at the time was the Prefect of the Congregation for the Doctrine of the Faith, gave definitive judgement on the Akita events and messages as reliable and worthy of belief.

There are not very many books on the subject of Our Lady of Akita Japan but if you are interested in learning more, a good place to start is with this great resource...

Almighty and everlasting God, look upon the Heart of Thy well-beloved Son and upon the acts of praise and satisfaction which He renders unto Thee in the name of sinners; and do Thou, in Thy great goodness, grant pardon to them who seek Thy mercy, in the name of the same Thy Son, Jesus Christ, Who liveth and reigneth with Thee, world without end.
