Rosary Good Or Bad Luck?

I've been told a few things about wearing rosary beads, and I need someone to make somethings clear for me. I have been told that it is bad luck to wear them around your neck and that other people aren't suppose to touch or see them? So can someone please tell me what is the appropriate thing to do owning these beads. I am an Italian Catholic, 18 years of age next year so please don't judge.

Is wearing a rosary around your neck bad?
by: Anonymous

I have also come across this. I plan to take a flight and I am scared of flying .I plan to wear my rosary, but not to be seen only to have it close to me and so I can pray. Why should this be bad? as I am not disrespecting the rosary or showing off my religion. But still I too would like to know.. what are your opinions?

Read the above conversation for some insight on the pious way to wear a rosary versus a good luck vs. bad luck mentality which is not in keeping with authentic Catholicism.

Fourth Rosary Promise
The rosary will make virtue and good works flourish, and will obtain for souls the most abundant divine mercies. It will draw the hearts of men from the love of the world and its vanities, and will lift them to the desire of eternal things. Oh, that souls would sanctify themselves by this means.
