Vocal Prayer And The Mysteries

by Sue

I have just begun learning to pray the Rosary. This site has been so helpful, thank you. My questions are: Should I be saying the prayers out loud? Also, the "meditating on the mysteries" part is still confusing. I understand that it will become easier with practice. Is it ok to think or meditate on the fruits of the mystery? I like some of the statements submitted by others as a way to understand the mysteries but I'm kind of hung up on doing it correctly. I kind of feel like if I'm not doing it "right" then I'm being disrespectful. If I think about the meditations submitted by someone else I understand the mystery better, but is that ok to do?

Thank you!
Sue

Fourth Rosary Promise
The rosary will make virtue and good works flourish, and will obtain for souls the most abundant divine mercies. It will draw the hearts of men from the love of the world and its vanities, and will lift them to the desire of eternal things. Oh, that souls would sanctify themselves by this means.
