To Love God Means Nothing Less Than To Have Found Jesus

"After three days, they found him in the Temple." -Luke 2:46

In three syllables, this Mystery of the Rosary reveals the very root and fibre of love for God; it tells exactly what loving God means...

"They found him." A perfect expression of our meditation's theme. To love God means nothing less than to have found Jesus. The explanation is no less simply told:

All my love for God is from Christ; the outpouring of grace upon the world is His meriting. Every spark of divine charity, the briefest and brightest in every soul in every age has been struck to life on one cornerstone - Christ.

Mary's Son came into the world to look for me that I might find the Father. I find Jesus and the Father in the Sacraments, the Mass, in my neighbor.

Am I watching for Jesus - wholeheartedly - as Mary was?

-Father Peyton's Prayer Book: The Family That Prays Together Stays Together by Patrick Peyton p.38

Fourth Rosary Promise
The rosary will make virtue and good works flourish, and will obtain for souls the most abundant divine mercies. It will draw the hearts of men from the love of the world and its vanities, and will lift them to the desire of eternal things. Oh, that souls would sanctify themselves by this means.
