St. Joseph Rosary

by Marianita
(Burbank, Ca.)

I have this rosary that starts with a St. Joseph medal followed by a purple bead, then Terra de Fatima medal. This is followed by ten white beads, a purple bead, another ten white beads, a purple bead and ten more white beads. How should I recite this rosary and are there special prayers?.

St. Joseph Chaplet
by: The Rosary Team

I think you are describing a St. Joseph chaplet. It is not a rosary. You pray the St. Joseph chaplet in the following manner:

On the purple beads say:
Praised and blessed be Jesus, Mary, and Joseph!
Prayer at the end of the chaplet:

V. Pray for us, O holy St. Joseph!
R. That we may be made worthy of the promises of Christ!

Let us pray
O, God, Who had predestined St. Joseph for all eternity for the service of Thine Eternal Son and His Blessed Mother, and made him worthy to be the spouse of the Blessed Virgin and the foster father of Thy Son: we beseech Thee, through all the services he has rendered to Jesus and Mary on earth, that Thou wouldst make us worthy of his intercession and grant us to enjoy the happiness of his company in heaven. Through Christ our Lord. Amen

I am so glad for your response to my questions. The prayer information is so precious to me. I can now start using the St Joseph Rosary. Thank you so much.

Fourth Rosary Promise
The rosary will make virtue and good works flourish, and will obtain for souls the most abundant divine mercies. It will draw the hearts of men from the love of the world and its vanities, and will lift them to the desire of eternal things. Oh, that souls would sanctify themselves by this means.
