Your love for Our Lord and Our Blessed Lady can never be considered as "obsessive". You are not doing anything wrong here. The same would go for the Rosary. The most effective method would be to introduce it, with great confidence and understanding of the subject, and maybe give some printed material, such as a phamplet, to those you are evangelizing.Then you can only let them decide for themselves. If the person(s) are non-Catholic it will be more difficult. If they are anti-Catholic, it will be almost impossible. But miracles happen everyday, so keep focused on that truth and you cannot fail. If they refuse outright, be not discouraged, this is going to be the typical reaction from most. They may not understand the Rosary fully, therefore are just fearful. Never consider an inability to get the message to someone as a failure. The greatest evangelists show by example, and in turn, it is noticed by others. It just takes time and patience. Be prepared to encounter some difficult moments with some who will tell you myths of the Rosary and of the Catholic Church. These individuals can often scare those who are not prepared to defend the Church and Her teachings, so always understand this reality. People who "hate" the Church simply do not understand the Church and their minds have been poisoned by bad literature that has misrepresented the Church for 1500 years. You will encounter many of these people over the years, so be prepared. This anti-Catholic encounter is the greatest test of evangelization, as it will show what the Church teaches by your own sheer example of how you react. Never doubt your own faith, or back down from defending the truth. Remember that many denied Christ, even one of His Own Apostles. You will find you will have more "failures" than sucesses, but that really does not matter. The thing that does, is that you tried. God sees this as a great success and it is a great merit for you. You will do more by praying for them than anything. God Bless you and keep promoting the Holy Rosary of Our Blessed Mother without fears or doubts.

Thank you for your words of encouragement and wonderful advise on ways to spread devotion to the Rosary, Jerald Franklin Archer. What you said is so true. Dear Justine, We commend you for your efforts in spreading devotion to the Rosary. The devil hates the Rosary. Sometimes it is very difficult to promote it for this very reason. If you meet with resistance, don't give up and remember your example speaks louder than your words. You may want to vamp up your efforts of evangelizing with your family during May and October and back off again throughout the rest of the year. If you persevere in your devotion to the Rosary, you will grow spiritually and those around you will notice. Keep up your Rosaries and pray for your family. Another thing to remember are these words of Our Lord, "Blessed are ye when they shall revile you, and persecute you, and speak all that is evil against you, untruly, for my sake: Be glad and rejoice, for your reward is very great in heaven. For so they persecuted the prophets that were before you." Matthew 5:11-12 Keeping these words in mind and realizing that Jesus is speaking to you will give you the courage you need to continue spreading devotion to the Rosary regardless of what others think. May Our Lady hold you close in her Immaculate Heart.
