Parish Needs Large Amount Of Rosaries For Seven Day Prayer Service
(Miami, FL, USA)
We are having a seven-day prayer service at St. Therese of the Child Jesus Parish in Derriere-Fort, Cayes, Haiti, in early February 2013. Approximately 1000 people will attend this prayer every night based on prior experience over the past two years since we began this spiritual activity. Can we have some free rosaries to distribute to the faithful on the occasion. Thank you.
In the Diocese of Cayes, south Haiti, St. Thérèse de L’Enfant Jésus is located in Derrière-Fort. The population of the mayhem Derrière-Fort is estimated at 8,000 inhabitants. Forty percent are Catholics; twenty-five percent are protestants, and thirty-five percent either are voodooists or have no religious faith interest.
The need for evangelization, formation, prayer and spiritual renewal activities are meaningful. It is also in an area in Les Cayes most affected by social and political problems. Les Cayes, formerly Aux Cayes, is a town and seaport in southwestern Haiti near the river Ravine du Sud on the Caribbean coast with a population at close 75,000 people. Founded in 1726 it is the capital of the Sud Departement and is about 196 km southwest of the Haitian capital Port-au-Prince. The Diocese of Cayes has 47 parishes and chapels.
My heartfelt thanks to you and those around you working to build the Kingdom of God. May our merciful God continue to guide you each and every day of your life.
Thank you in advance for your prompt attention and consideration to this matter.
Sincerely yours in Christ and Mary,
