My New Mission Need Religious Articles - Rosaries, Medals, Pictures, Books And Other Devotionals

by Fr.T. Anthony
(Khammam, Andhra Pradesh, INDIA)

Dear Friends,

Greetings and prayerful wishes from Fr. T. Anthony. I hope and pray that these few lines of mine would find you at the best of your health of mind and body.

May I take this opportunity to introduce myself to you. I am Fr. T. Anthony ordained a priest on 2nd May 2002 for the mission diocese of Khammam. I am working at a newly erected mission parish of Papatapally. There are 22 mission stations under the pastoral care of this newly erected mission parish. I go to the mission villages everyday and visit families, instruct them in Christian faith, give them more knowledge about Christ, talk to them, listen to their problems and difficulties and pray with them. Thus even at their poverty they feel happy and comforted.

Majority of the Catholics are scheduled castes and tribes who are economically, socially and culturally live at the edge of the society. Each substation is about 20 to 25 kms away from the main station. And some are so interior that they have no proper transportation facilities. as i am appointed as the first parish priest of this newly erected mission parish, it is my duty to take care of the faithful and meet their spiritual and pastoral needs. I go regularly to these villages to fulfill the spiritual and pastoral needs of the people. As most of our people are illiterate and don’t know much about Christ they are much in need of regular instructions to deepen and strengthen their faith. Hence I am trying my best and putting all my efforts to reach them as regularly as possible.

But the main drawback that I am facing is the means of religious articles like rosaries, medals, pictures, books and other devotionals. If I have them it would be much easier to increase the faith of the people and to instill in them devotion towards our blessed mother Mary.

Therefore, I earnestly and humbly request you to send devotional articles by which, I may by the grace of God and by your benevolence be able to carry out my tribal mission apostolate more effectively. I do hope and pray that you will kindly consider my request and give me a favorable reply. I shall be ever grateful to you for this great service of yours. In return I assure you my humble prayers and Holy Masses for your intentions and good health.

Yours in Christ Jesus and Our Blessed Mother Mary,

Fr. T. Anthony

Fourth Rosary Promise
The rosary will make virtue and good works flourish, and will obtain for souls the most abundant divine mercies. It will draw the hearts of men from the love of the world and its vanities, and will lift them to the desire of eternal things. Oh, that souls would sanctify themselves by this means.
