Mary's Complete Surrender

by Caroline Ochieng
(Accra ,Ghana)

When the Angel Gabriel told Mary Hail Full of grace she was perplexed at the greeting. She became even further perplexed about the child she was to have as the angel told her. Yet she only needed an explanation once from the Angel. Even though she did not comprehend the answer she responded I am the hand maid of the Lord be it done to me according to your word.

Sometimes in our lives we need to understand why things happen to us the way they do. This is human reasoning/nature but yet there are no explanations in a lot of what happens to us. We ought to surrender like Mary did with complete faith in God.

Can you say as Mary said be it done to me according to your word in all situations of life whether good or bad?

Surrender ...
by: Elizabeth L

When I needed to decide to quit my job, years ago, and find another one, I let fear control me, in some respects. I did decide to stay because it was what I knew. My lack of faith and trust led me to be ill in body, mind and spirit. Three cancers later, Mary's ability to trust completely without question is a miracle for me to understand. I am tied into this world completely, but I want to grow, no matter what. How focused you were and are, Mother Mary, to live life simply, respectfully, and lovingly to all. I hope and pray to do the same.

Fourth Rosary Promise
The rosary will make virtue and good works flourish, and will obtain for souls the most abundant divine mercies. It will draw the hearts of men from the love of the world and its vanities, and will lift them to the desire of eternal things. Oh, that souls would sanctify themselves by this means.
