by Rosemary
(Ohio)

On what should I be meditating when I recite the Our Father and the 3 Hail Mary's. I remember being taught that they were said for Faith, Hope and Love.

For An Increase In Faith, Hope and Charity
by: The Rosary Team

It is customary to offer the first three Hail Marys for an increase in the virtues of faith, hope and charity.

You should be meditating upon the prayers themselves, paying special attention to what these prayers mean before beginning the mental/vocal prayers that make up the body of the Rosary.

Fourth Rosary Promise
The rosary will make virtue and good works flourish, and will obtain for souls the most abundant divine mercies. It will draw the hearts of men from the love of the world and its vanities, and will lift them to the desire of eternal things. Oh, that souls would sanctify themselves by this means.
