For The Saving Of My Marriage

My wife and I have been married for over 25 years. We have had bad communication for the past 5 years. For the past year and a half, our financial situation has been hard hit. We have two children. My wife says that she wants a divorce because of our poor finances. She is not a Roman Catholic or a Christian. I think that our children will suffer greatly if we divorce. I do not think that my wife's reason is valid for ending a marriage. My mother was a great woman, a devout Roman Catholic, and the mother of eight. She always said the Rosary and taught me to say it in times of trouble. I have been saying the Rosary for a year and a half, praying for our marriage and family. My wife presented me with the divorce papers and I signed them. The papers have yet to be presented to the court or city hall. I asked her in April to give me six months to get a recovery but none has happened yet. I could not believe that she is only focusing on the current difficulty and forgetting about the joy we had in the past and our responsibility to our children in being role models as father and mother and husband and wife.
