End Of Life Rosary Brings Peace To Family

by Ronald
(Gepp, Arkansas)

A number of years ago my sister called me to tell me our father was indeed on his deathbed. I arrived just as he received his last rites. I could see the suffering he was going through, even though hospice was making him as comfortable as they could, I could see the horrific pain of death on his face.

Just then his friends came in and we were all praying the rosary. As they left my sister, niece, and myself were in deep sorrow, a crying sorrow. On the wall above his bed was the crucifix from my mother's casket. I stared at it, then I made the sign of the cross and I kissed the Lord's feet. I took it from the wall and told my sister and niece to do the same thing and they did; then I picked up my father's hand and placed the crucifix underneath it.

Now comes the unbelievable love of Jesus as I sat in my chair a strange calm came over me. I most definitely felt two very large hands resting on my shoulders. The three dogs in the house, and this is unbelievable, came running into the room sitting at the foot of the bed motionless; my sister said someone was sitting on her lap as well for her legs felt very heavy and the joy the inner peace something I never felt again, even upon flying home the captain of the flight says he never seen such, one or in the 25 years of his career and the flight would be absolutely comfortable.

Fourth Rosary Promise
The rosary will make virtue and good works flourish, and will obtain for souls the most abundant divine mercies. It will draw the hearts of men from the love of the world and its vanities, and will lift them to the desire of eternal things. Oh, that souls would sanctify themselves by this means.
