How to pray the Rosary
by: Jeanette M

Choosing to kneel and recite the Rosary may well incur some extra grace from God as it is the act of taking an extra step to show respect to God and for the Blessed Virgin. I often say the Rosary while laying in bed, relaxing in a chair, driving, even gardening or grocery shopping.

When I think of the many ways my children have approached me to speak with me I realize that it is not so important where we are or what we are doing at the time so much the fact that they seek me out for help or even to just share time with me.

I believe God is happy to hear from us at anytime, so long as we give Him the respect, honor and glory he deserves. Remember, He is our father and what parent does not welcome words of love from their child.

Our Lady on kneeling
by: C.L.

I read this in St. Louis de Montfort's "The Secret of the Rosary":

"She also said to Blessed Alan, 'I want you to know that, although there are numerous indulgences already attached to the recitation of my Rosary, I shall add many more to every five decades for those, who free from serious sin, say them with devotion, on their knees.'"

So if I have the opportunity, I try to say the Rosary without interruption while on my knees.

Fourth Rosary Promise
The rosary will make virtue and good works flourish, and will obtain for souls the most abundant divine mercies. It will draw the hearts of men from the love of the world and its vanities, and will lift them to the desire of eternal things. Oh, that souls would sanctify themselves by this means.
