Disabled New Catholic Is In Need Of Supplies

by John Adams
(St. Augustine, FL, USA)

God bless this site. . .

My name is John and at 45 years old I have just decided to convert to Catholicism. I have attended Mass with friends and spoke with local parish priests and I feel in my heart that I have been called to the Church, and it is quite possible my journey will lead to Seminary and the Priesthood, I believe my calling is that serious.
My current problem is that I am temporarily disabled, a situation that my doctor and I are close to fixing permanently, God willing, and my income is very very modest. I already live as if I have taken vows of poverty and celibacy and I am at peace with that. It does, however make it impossible for me to purchase a Catholic bible, rosary beads, a Saint Michael medal (which is not absolutely necessary, but he is my personal patron), crucifixes for my wall, and to carry, etc. I am not greedy and only list things that I can imagine I would cherish for prayer and to help as I continue on towards my calling.
I would love any help you might give, my contact information is as follows:

THANK & BLESS YOU ALL...
by: John Adams Jr

I just wanted to post a thank you and a blessing for all those who have responded to my original post to which this comment is directed. I truly do not have words to express how grateful I am so I am not even going to try. All the gifts of the supplies, prayers, rosaries, etc. have just overwhelmed me.

A big truth in life, I have come to understand over the years, is that personal possessions, even those that are tools to assist me in my religious practices, are truly unimportant when compared with faith in God and love for family and the humans and animals with which we share our existence.

I know that may sound "preachy", but my point in saying it is that even though without all your gifts I would not have been able to learn so much so fast about my new faith. But in retrospect that matters very little compared to the effect all your brotherhood and generosity has had on my faith.

Thank you once again!!

Fourth Rosary Promise
The rosary will make virtue and good works flourish, and will obtain for souls the most abundant divine mercies. It will draw the hearts of men from the love of the world and its vanities, and will lift them to the desire of eternal things. Oh, that souls would sanctify themselves by this means.
