Desperate Plea For Mentally Ill Wife

by David
(Canada)

My Brothers and Sisters in Christ... I must ask for a huge favor from you. I come to you in utter desperation and humbly ask for your prayers... I have only been married to my second wife for 1.5 years. I met her two years after I become widowed from my first wife of 8 years.

My wife K. has become deeply emotionally depressed over this past year and is struggling with the affliction of dark thoughts, extremely low self esteem, and general hatred for herself and her life. Her personality has changed...

She has become obsessed with ruminating on how difficult life has become and how overwhelming it is... she has said many times that she wished she could just end things here. It's like a great darkness has fallen on a once happy woman.. It's like she has become chemically imbalanced or mentally ill..

I have tried to support her as best as I can with my strength, compassion, understanding and love but she is refusing to try medication of any kind or seek counseling to help her with this dark period in her life. I'm at my wits end being helpless to help her and try to support someone I dearly love...My heart is breaking for her in her pain...

Please brother and sisters pray for K and through the intercession of the Holy Mother Mary.... Please Pray that Lord Jesus will come into her heart, heal all her internal pain. Or give her the direction to seek help or medication for her deep depression.

I wish to thank you all in advance for for your prayers...

I hope your wife is doing better. I will keep her in my prayers. I'm so sorry to hear that she is suffering with depression. I pray that The Lord will lay his hand on her and heal K. Prayer during the 3 o'clock hour is the best time to pray (during holy hour when our Lord died on the cross). God bless you and your family. Don't lose hope in K. God will help her. Hope you are doing well also. Take care :)

Jesus I Trust In You

My local Franciscan monk and priest always reminds me to say this when I am troubled. I am truly saddened to hear your story but certainly do not give up.

Something has happened recently that has triggered her, ask her to be open with you and honest. Has she had a spiritual awakening that has caused guilt to surface, confession will fix this.

Remember Satan will do everything to remind us of our past but we MUST NOT dwell on this but look to the cross, God has never left us, it's always us that leave him.

May your faith in God be always strong, be strong my brother.

Fourth Rosary Promise
The rosary will make virtue and good works flourish, and will obtain for souls the most abundant divine mercies. It will draw the hearts of men from the love of the world and its vanities, and will lift them to the desire of eternal things. Oh, that souls would sanctify themselves by this means.
