Kneeling Prepares the Mind and Soul for Prayer
by: The Rosary Team

Kneeling is a posture taken during prayer to invoke a particular response in your state of being. Kneeling sets the stage and prepares your state of mind for prayer and conversation with God.

Kneeling also shows respect.

Catholics kneel at grottos to show respect for the image or event being represented there. Catholics pray at grottos for the same reason, the image of the Blessed Virgin Mary, a saint or a holy scene inspire holy thoughts and increase devotion making it an excellent place to pray.

Fourth Rosary Promise
The rosary will make virtue and good works flourish, and will obtain for souls the most abundant divine mercies. It will draw the hearts of men from the love of the world and its vanities, and will lift them to the desire of eternal things. Oh, that souls would sanctify themselves by this means.
