Catechumens and Confirmation Candidates Need Rosaries

by Joseph Jallow
(West Africa)

I am 65 years old and retired. I have been volunteering as a catechist for the catechumens and confirmation candidates for five years now at the Parish of the Blessed Sacrament, Serrekunda, The Gambia. Each year as part of the curriculum we teach the children and adult catechumens how to pray the Rosary.

Praying the Rosary daily is important for these children and adults as we all live in a predominantly Muslim country (95%). Although Christians and Muslims live side by side with no problems for now, it is always prudent to learn now where to turn to when difficulties arise.

In this regard we are requesting for 50 Rosary beads and 50 Scapulars.

The address is:

Fourth Rosary Promise
The rosary will make virtue and good works flourish, and will obtain for souls the most abundant divine mercies. It will draw the hearts of men from the love of the world and its vanities, and will lift them to the desire of eternal things. Oh, that souls would sanctify themselves by this means.
