Yes, Pray!
by: The Rosary Team

There is no harm in praying the Rosary. Even non-Christians can pray the Rosary.

Maybe you will be converted to believe in the One True God. Praying the Rosary and other Catholic prayers will not bring you good luck or good karma but they will attain for you many graces.

Let me explain how grace works...

...God created all things. In the beginning there was one God in three persons, the Father, the Son, and the Holy Spirit. Jesus, the second person of the Blessed Trinity did not become man until Mary said yes to God. The Holy Spirit was not revealed to the world until Jesus ascended into Heaven forty days after His glorious resurrection. Jesus sent the Holy Spirit and He appeared as tongues of fire upon Mary and the Apostles 10 days after the Ascension.

When God created the world, He created man in His image and likeness. The first man and woman were Adam and Eve. God gave them one command not to eat of a certain fruit of the tree of knowledge of good and evil. Satan, the leader of the bad angels who told God they would not serve, appeared to Adam and Eve in the form of a serpent and tempted them to eat the forbidden fruit.

Adam and Eve did and committed the first sin on earth. This sin is called original sin.

Because of this sin, the gates of Heaven were closed. God did however make a promise. He told the serpent,

"I will put enmity between you and the woman between your seed and hers. She shall crush your head and you will lie in wait at her heel." This is the prophecy of a Savior, Who is Jesus Christ, true God and true Man. Mary is the woman of this prophecy. Together they crush the head of the serpent and destroy his power over man.

Yes, Pray! Continued...

Cont.

Somewhere around 6,000 years went by, when an angel appeared to Mary and asked if she would be the mother of the Savior. Mary said yes and...

"The Word was made flesh and dwelt among us."

"For God so loved the world that He gave His only that others might live." Jesus became man for the purpose to teach us, to make us children of God and to open the gates of Heaven.

Adam's sin closed the gates of Heaven and displeased God. Jesus' sacrifice of Himself on the cross and the love in Jesus' Sacred and Mary's Immaculate Hearts pleased God so much, the gates of Heaven were opened.

Jesus' sufferings and death on the cross merited for all men God's grace and made us children of God and heirs to Heaven. When Catholic's receive Jesus' Body and Blood in the Holy Eucharist, we become like Him for when we eat His Flesh and drink His Blood, He becomes a part of us. This is the primary means of receiving grace, but there are other ways...

...praying the Rosary is a wonderful way of receiving many, many graces. Mary cooperated with God and in this way plays a key role in the salvation of man. Because Mary is "the highly favored daughter", she has special intercessory power before the throne of God. Mary is not a goddess, she is a human like you and me.

Grace works in this way...

...All grace comes from God because of Jesus' sacrifice and through Mary. Jesus is happy to allow her to send all graces to the world. Jesus came into this world through Mary and through Mary we go to Jesus. She is our advocate.

If you want to receive grace just ask her. The way you ask her is by praying the Rosary and other Catholic prayers.

Grace makes a soul holy and pleasing to God. I will help you to choose good over evil.

Yes, you can pray the Rosary. The Rosary is for all man for God created us all. Mary is for all men, too. Even those who do not know or love her yet.

Fourth Rosary Promise
The rosary will make virtue and good works flourish, and will obtain for souls the most abundant divine mercies. It will draw the hearts of men from the love of the world and its vanities, and will lift them to the desire of eternal things. Oh, that souls would sanctify themselves by this means.
