Can I Learn To Pray The Rosary If I'm A Protestant?

by Anonymous

Does it cause offense for a non-Catholic to pray The Rosary? I've always felt drawn to Mary and feel great comfort and peace when I think of her. I was raised in the Methodist church and have raised my sons in the church. My husband of 37 years has always been a Christian and our home is Christ-centered.

It's perfectly acceptable to pray the rosary, whatever form of Christian you are! I'm Lutheran, and I still pray the rosary everyday. I have Catholic friends, and they love it that I pray the rosary. They're the ones who actually taught me how to pray the rosary. The rosary is a form of prayer, and prayers aren't exclusive to one form of Christianity. Any Christian can pray any prayer to God they want.

Fourth Rosary Promise
The rosary will make virtue and good works flourish, and will obtain for souls the most abundant divine mercies. It will draw the hearts of men from the love of the world and its vanities, and will lift them to the desire of eternal things. Oh, that souls would sanctify themselves by this means.
